IoT: The Magic Wand Technology.

Just imagine how exciting and amazing this world would be if everything around us is connected, it would not only save our time but also reduce our unnecessary tensions and stress. And since human-kind has evolved and developed many-folds, thus, we have a super-power technology to turn this into reality and that’s termed as “IoT” or “Internet of Things” - the connection of Physical World with the Cyber World . Sounds fascinating, isn’t it?

Now, let us see how it works in reality.
The Cyber-Physical system is configured or designed by following these functions:
·        Connection level: It involves attachment-free or wireless communication, monitoring and recording the physical conditions of the environment using sensors and organizing them at a central location.
·        Conversion level (Data-to-information): Involves data-correlation, tracking of machine-failures, malfunctions, reduces downtime (time when the machine is out of action) by degradation and performance prediction.
·        Cyber level: Here the data are clustered for interpretation (has the ability to incorporate Big Data Analysis by analysing it against business and other contextual data) , It builds a virtual model of process, product or service to head-off the problems before their occurrence and to plan the future using simulations.
·        Cognitive level: It involves remote visualisation in which remote users can access, manipulate share critical information. It also includes Integrated simulation and design synthesis that would reduce development time and improve performance and also invites collaborative diagnostics and decision making.
·         Configuration level: Involves self-configuration, self-adjustment and optimisation for recovery, any kind of variation or disturbance.
We all can imagine the technology’s benefits. Just to prove its varied applications some of the fields are listed below:
·        Agriculture: The sensors can collect Information about the environmental conditions and can be used to automate farming techniques.
·        Energy management: The energy consuming devices can be remotely controlled and scheduled.
·        Environmental monitoring: IoT can be used to monitor air, water, soil conditions which can be an effective aid.
·        Building and home automation: can be used to monitor and control mechanical, electrical and electronic s.
·        Medical and healthcare: medical equipments can be monitored using sensors and they can self-adjust without any manual-interaction.
These are just few which could be mentioned.

This technology has impressive characteristics.
Most of the autonomous works includes cloud computing such as web-services , SOA(Service Oriented Architecture) and thus  incorporates IoT technology.

The IoT technology requires high scalability, involves high complexity, has the ability to encode trillions of objects, thus it is largely dependent on IPv6(Internet protocol version 6) (as all the devices will use an IP address as a unique Identifier ) and various connection measures (from Wi-Fi, LTE advanced to satellite communication and Ethernet cables)

Network simulators like OPNET http://opnetprojects.com/opnet-network-simulator/  and TETCOS NetSim https://www.tetcos.com/  can be used to simulate IoT networks.

For getting started into this field you need to have a basic understanding of electronics, sensors, microprocessors, microcontrollers(Arduino UNO, Raspberry Pi, Banana Pi etc.)(its recommended to start with Arduino though Raspberry Pi has a much better performance), SoCs(System on Chips) and programming languages (like python, embedded C ,Java, PHP ,Swift)and of course you need to know how networking works. If you want to learn and contribute to its development or wanna make something incredible here are some top links that you can follow(all of them are free):

You can now imagine that IoT has the ability to include all the technologies within itself, from Network security to Data-science, from application designing to Artificial-intelligence.

It has the power to transform and revolutionise everything, our lifestyle, our priorities, our management our surroundings , and everything that affects us in one or the other way. Though it has challenges, like rising complexities and space availability etc., but once sorted this can go beyond our imagination.

  4. When you are measuring data, there are two different types of analysis you can perform. The first type is descriptive analyticswhich gives you a broad view of the data. Descriptive analytics is a great first step for understanding your data. It can show you patterns in the data, help you better understand your customers, and reveal other useful insights.

All you want to know about UX/UI designers.

Have you ever imagined how do they build such beautiful web-pages and so much user friendly websites, or you yourself have dreamt of developing one of your own? Then you must be aware of UX/UI designing and learning about its applications would give you a complete idea of what you want to build and how would it look like in the real world. source: Google Images UX Design refers to the term  User Experience Design , while UI Design stands for  User Interface Design . Both elements are crucial to a product and work closely together. But despite their professional relationship, the roles themselves are quite different, referring to very different parts of the process  and the design discipline. Both of them have a plain goal of making the user interaction simpler and efficient . The User Experience Design or UX Design is more or less non-technical, as it involves content-development, prototyping, analysis and iteration, basically the interaction with the users ...

What is BIG DATA ANALYSIS ?

Big data analytics is the process of examining large and varied data sets -- i.e., big data(Black box Data, Social media Data, Stock Exchange Data, Search Engine Data, Transport Data, Power grid Data) -- to uncover hidden patterns, unknown correlations, market trends, customer preferences and other useful information that can help organizations make more-informed business decisions. Volume, Variety and Velocity are the three V’s of Big Data. A person involved in this kind-a-job is called to be a “Data Analyst”. And to receive this tag by large group of people he/she needs to be super good at statistics and if accompanied by software developing skills he/she would be called as “Data Scientist”. How to be a renowned and efficient data scientist? Technical Skills that the person needs to be good at are: Statistical methods and packages (e.g. SPSS) R and/or SAS languages Data warehousing and business intelligence platforms SQL databases and database querying languag...
